A Second Act in Life is part memoir and part hopeful guide to recovery and healing. It is meant to encourage all those who are trapped, lost, or believe they have already lost their battle. It is a humble starting point to what is a lifelong process of transformation. There are simple exercises to develop insight and create a game plan to face your obstacles. Nicholas deSpoelberch is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of ND Counseling for Hope and Growth, a therapy practice in Stamford, CT. For 4 years he has facilitated the New Canaan Parent Support group for parents of people struggling with addiction. He is also a member of The Fairfield County Trauma Response Team and co-facilitates a Peer Support Group for First Responders. He loves helping others recover and transform their trauma into lives of power and freedom. He is a grateful father to his 3 beautiful children Liam, Quinn, and Shay.
